The Tallahassee Professional Fire Fighters Foundation Inc (501C3) was formed in 2010 to support local Fire Fighter charities.  All proceeds from the sales of the Fire Fighter licence plates in Leon County comes back to the Tallahassee Fire Fighters Foundation and makes up a large part of our revenue.  The tags can be purchased at your local tag office or online.  The four elected officers of the Tallahassee Professional Fire Fighter Local 2339, IAFF make up the board of directors for the foundation.  We support key charities and causes within our community and our focus for the charities primarily involves helping children.  Below you will find a list of the causes that we support along with a short summary of their purpose.  

Children's Burn Camp of North Florida

Camp amigo exists to provide kids who have physical and emotional scars a place to be themselves and build a network of support that will last throughout their lives. The camp is fully funded by private donations and the campers stay free of charge.

Shop with a Firefighter

Shop with a Firefighter is an annual event that takes place in December.  The men and women of the Tallahassee Professional Firefighters team up with the "Children's Home Society of Florida" and provide a Christmas shopping spree for Children who are under the care of CHS.  Most of these children are either abused or neglected. We have now grown to accept 15 children.  Each child gets to spend up to $100 and is escorted by a Firefighter!   

Relay for Life

Tallahassee Firefighters sponsor a site at the Leon County "Relay for Life" and spend the night with our friends and neighbors to fight the good fight against cancer.  This years event is May 21st and 22nd at the leon county fair grounds. 

 MDA

Firefighters and MDA have been teamed up for more than 50 years to provide treatment and search for a cure for Muscular Dystrophy.  Each year Tallahassee Firefighters work the busy streets so that we can "Fill the Boot" to help cure Muscular Dystrophy.
